We have appreciated the hustle. Too many years of it, honestly.
Now! Rush. Grrrrr. Stop. Go!
So we unplugged. Without intention, with quiet stealth… Bandon time drifted lazily into life.
It’s okay to be punctual, but only on the condition that it’s effortless. Leave early to coast along, find a spot and enjoy waiting. Good style. To be fashionably late? Somewhat the rule.
We do not leave early to jam in extra stops to “save time later.”
We’ll run those errands or do those chores eventually. When it’s comfortably convenient and we can focus on that little task, savoring whatever it brings. Maybe someone to talk to that we haven’t seen in awhile…
I left a slab of cedar outside for a year. Watching it change character. And then made a bench when it had suggested which side up. It wasn’t in the way all that time. We were collaborating.
