Bonnie and I were huddled at the tailgate. I was having a conversation with myself.
A passer-by going into the Grocery store said it’s okay to talk to yourself if nobody answers. We chuckled.
Then I realized that Bonnie as my companion is always listening. A dog gives cover to an old gent and his self talk.
And if someone says “That’s weird.” He can always say he was speaking to the Dog.
The reflective perspective: “Enough about me, Bonnie. What do you think about me?”
Now there’s some talk I might need to hear.
