The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They fail to alter their views to fit the facts. Instead, they alter facts to fit their views.

Why Be Dry?

Dgg

Fall in love with the clean sweep of clarity?

Suspend the habitual muddy numbness (how tedious…)

Response to family and friends who had real addiction trouble, wind down and stop. The shine went off that pumpkin, eh?

We NEED the lubricant – culturally. And privately as a foil to life’s difficulty – taking a drink to decompress ones angst is excellent self care.

Being sober, it’s a blessing to revel in the clarity of mind and distance from the compulsion to conform. Carry no grief over the death of induced numbness or the postponement of feelings. Instead, be awake to experience actual angst. Let it wash past, spiritually prevail and exist in genuine peace. Be satisfied in any circumstance.

But being dry? Is not for everyone!
