Having a shop to work in is a great privilege. Thankful.
Ok,
So just for fun.
A fellow needs to be able to service his scooter. Unassisted. BUT! There are hurdles.
For instance, Oz was set up “East Coast” by his previous owners (two of them, hailing from Pennsylvania.) As far as servicing goes, this means the stance is lowered for the “sled” look.

The innocent bugger that I am, I ordered a hydraulic MC lift – unaware that the lowered frame was closer to the floor than the minimum lift clearance. Hmm.
As the son of an excellent carpenter my response is: 2X4 lumber. (Well, sections of 2X8 to be specific, front, back and kick. The green algae is a custom word work finish we have naturally here on the S. Oregon coast.)
In neutral, I can push the bike, bump it up on blocks, stop, center and then the lift will fit.

Getting the lift positioned, front to back and not interfering with the shocks underneath (Softail rear frame) is tricky.
Out come the old oil change ramps for the cars, which fit exactly under the tires…. then bleed the lift down until its safety tooth catches – which just so happens exactly weights the front and back tires on the ramps, not entirely but enough to make things solid.
Then some safety straps… which, of course, are cannibalized from lumber straps and old parts of other gear. It took the longest time to find the fasteners in my junk bolts collection. But! They were in there.
1991 FLSTC 20,150 miles.
Servicing crank oil & filter (done.) Valve Tappet filter. Primary chain oil change and transmission oil change.
Need tires soon. Which would baffle this mechanic wannabe. That’s a job for a dealer, I think.
Happy Saturday. It’s raining here again.
