Orphangelical

“You meet saints everywhere. They can be anywhere. They are people behaving decently in an indecent society.”

Kurt Vonnegut

“Every saint has a past, every sinner a future.”

Oscar Wilde

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They fail to alter their views to fit the facts. Instead, they alter facts to fit their views.

Dr. Who

“If you can’t be the way you want, love the way you’re made.”

Something of a twist on:  The song “Love the One You’re With.” Which says: “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with” — Stephen Stills 1970.

The persistent question we encounter is “From Whence Thy Dissatisfaction?”

God has given each gifts, why is it we’re so predisposed to covet gifts we don’t have and further — to condemn ourselves for not being things we aren’t.

Is it risky (an offensive thing to God) to dislike the way he made us? Scripture tells us every detail we need to know about how to change into something like Christ. The rest is just ego and neglecting love for Gods hand in our lives.
